So it's been forever and a day since I have posted anything on here! It's not like
nothing's happening, it's just that every time I sit down for a few minutes of free time to blog...I read.... I read the Nester's posts, Simple Mom's way to finances and organization and on and on and on. I find a new blog to read every time! Lots has been going on. The new school year has started and so has soccer. One week after the next.
We went to Hunter's first practice on Monday and couldn't find the coach or her Team to save our lives! I kept asking, 'Is that your coach? Is that guy your coach? Do you recognize anyone from your Team? How 'bout that guy in the white shirt? Is that your coach?'
Finally after what felt like an eternity Hunter finally says, '
Nooooo, I think that's him over there. He's kinda brownish.'
Brownish!! Hilarious! She made my heart smile. He was 'brownish' alright.
They want us to sign up for sideline ref, every parent has to volunteer for a job. After an 8 hour class on Saturday and a yellow and black striped outfit, Eddie will be ready to go!!! I can't wait to see him in that outfit!!! That- will make my heart smile~! Don't worry,, I'll post pictures!
As for Miss Bella, she started her first day of Sunday school this past Sunday. She
llllloooooovvvedddd it! And that's an understatement. When I dropped her off, I stood there thinking of all of the questions I wanted to ask the guy. First off, it was a guy. I know that probably sounds ridiculous to some people, but we're new to this. I don't remember any 'guys' when I went to Sunday school. Okay, so that threw me for a loop...'
Ahh,
ahh,
soooo, where is the restroom? and she can go by herself.....and you'll call me if you need me right???and she's new to this
soooo...what will you be learning today?(as the line if forming behind me. I wanted to ask him about his fingerprints and his ten year background check and exactly why he chose this class to volunteer in. Did he have a grandchild in the class?)
So I say, 'Okay Bella I'll be back. You don't leave here until Mommy comes to pick you up
OK?'
'Okay Mom.' In other words 'See ya!'
I could barely concentrate through the service. To make it worse we got out early and the pastor
encouraged us to go out and
peruse the ministries available to serve in...'Don't get your kids out of Sunday school. We're twenty minutes early.'
WHHATT! I have to wait!!! But I did.
After I picked her up she wouldn't stop talking about the big fish (Jonah and the whale) and how it was dark in his tummy and about the little boy in her class who poked another little boy in the eye and how the teacher scolded him and the cookies and on. And on. And on.......
It was beautiful. My lesson that Sunday.......Her Verse of the Week.....
God's way is perfect. Psalms 18:30
Yes it is.
